There's a clean bright seating area - and some excellent coffee and smoothies at Crepe Affaire - but the main attraction is the traditional thin French pancake. These sweet or savoury crepes are old as fast food, just as they are throughout France. It's a simple alternative to pasties or sandwiches and there are plenty of options on the menu. Choose from salmon and cream cheese, strawberry and chocolate (higher calories, but still a lot healthier than a doughnut), or you can build your own. For a really good value lunch, though, there are few things in the world more comforting than a basic ham and cheese crepe.
